The campaign, a collaboration between the children and the MAB (Manlleu Association of Shopkeepers), is themed Local Commerce. Our Fortune. It focuses on four key thematic areas: Km 0 Products, Vibrant Streets, Personalized Service, and Trust.
The presentation took place on Friday at the Can Puget exhibition hall. The event was attended by some of the previous year's child council members, their families, local shopkeepers, and the City Councilors for Citizen Participation and Commerce, Eva Font and Maite Anglada.
The session, hosted by Youth and Citizen Participation technicians, included the screening of the videos. Before each piece, the children shared anecdotes from the filming. Afterwards, a debate on proximity commerce was held, where the young participants explained their learnings and interacted with the audience. The councilors highlighted the valuable work of the youth and their involvement in the municipality.
MAB Manlleu emphasizes the project's significance for the local business community, as it raises awareness among younger consumers and disseminates it to the entire population through clear and direct language.
The videos were filmed and edited by Xef Vila, with collaboration from Badabadoc for subtitle creation. In addition to being available on the Manlleu City Council's YouTube channel, they will be screened on information displays throughout the municipality and before sessions of Cicle Gaudí and Cinexic.
