The installation, which covers more than 740 square meters, is established as one of the largest natural ice rinks in Catalonia. This leisure space in Plaça Fra Bernadí will remain open to the public until January 6th, serving as a focal point for the festivities in Manlleu.
The first few days of operation are dedicated exclusively to Manlleu schools. However, starting next week, visitors are expected from across the Osona region and other nearby areas, as confirmed by Maite Anglada, councilor for the Manlleu City Council.
This activity is part of the municipal program “Viu el Nadal a Manlleu” (Experience Christmas in Manlleu), which aims to revitalize local commerce. The program also features the Magic Park in the Can Puget Gardens, the first 'tió' show, and a Christmas fair with artisan products and daily musical entertainment.
The festive atmosphere was captured live by the Torn de tarda team from EL 9 TV. During the broadcast, journalist Guillem Sánchez accepted the challenge of skating, receiving balance tips from monitor Aniol Pujades.
