Throughout October, various villages in the Collsacabra region will host a range of activities designed to explore and enjoy the territory from different perspectives. Rupit i Pruit stands out as a key location, with a particularly busy schedule on Saturday, October 3rd, and additional events on Sunday, October 4th.
Saturday's program begins at 10 AM with a nature excursion titled 'Discovering Bird Migration,' an activity focused on understanding the local environment and observing migratory bird patterns. Pre-registration is required at the Rupit i Pruit Tourist Office via turisme@rupitpruit.cat.
From 11 AM to 3 PM, Rupit 360, a facility dedicated to heritage, nature, and emotion, will hold an open house. This offers an opportunity to discover its offerings and experience Rupit's heritage and landscape from a new angle.
At 5:30 PM, a talk titled 'The Ramats de Foc Project' will be given by Miquel Casas from the Pau Costa Foundation. This session will highlight the role of livestock and shepherds in reducing wildfire risk.
The Saturday program concludes at 7 PM with a presentation on 'The Rupit i Pruit Energy Cooperative is Launching. Will You Join?', focusing on sustainable energy and the municipality's future.
Activities continue on Sunday, October 4th, at 11 AM with 'Wild Star Refuge: Art, Astronomy, and Orbital Ecology,' a cosmic adventure combining a planetarium and puppets, suitable for all ages.
At 12 PM, a guided tour, 'Rupit, a Jewel of Catalan Rural Baroque,' will explore Rupit's historic center and heritage. This activity also requires prior booking at the Tourist Office.
Furthermore, throughout October, the bar-restaurant La Cöpe will host an exhibition of finalist photographs from CFIC 26, the Collsacabra International Photography Contest.
The Collsacabra Viu 2026 program offers a unique chance to discover the region's richness through activities deeply connected to its landscape, heritage, and local culture.
