The VII Festa Remença will take place in Tavèrnoles on the weekend of October 17th and 18th. The central event will be the reenactment of “La Presa del Castell de Savassona” (The Capture of Savassona Castle), a reconstruction of real events that occurred in the late 15th century.
On Saturday, October 17th, at 7:30 PM, the Civic Center will host the conference “A revolt from 1200 years ago: Aissó and the territory of Roda Ciutat", given by Imma Ollich.
The reenactment of La Presa del Castell de Savassona will feature around fifty actors recreating the events of July 1485. The performance can be seen on Sunday, October 18th, at 10 AM and 12 PM, utilizing the town's natural settings.
This little-known historical event has been recovered thanks to research in documentation from the Municipal Archive of Vic and other archives, uncovering what happened in July 1485. The historical reenactment offers an opportunity to learn about a part of Tavèrnoles' history, which is also a part of the country's history.
In addition to the main reenactment, the Festa Remença will include a display of artisans and crafts, pony rides, children's workshops and storytelling, and medieval games, complementing the range of activities for the whole family.
