The Servei d'Orientació i Acompanyament a les Famílies (SOAF) of Osona has launched the Espai de trobada entre famílies (Family Meeting Space), a new initiative offering an environment to share experiences, reflect on parenting and family relationships, and find new tools to face the challenges of daily coexistence. This project, part of the action plan of La Mancomunitat La Plana, is supported by Osona Acció Social.
The initiative complements SOAF's individual support and group workshops with a multi-family methodology. The goal is for families to become a source of mutual support, reducing feelings of isolation and fostering trust. Meetings will be held bi-weekly on Mondays, lasting approximately an hour and a half, facilitated by SOAF professionals.
The president of La Mancomunitat La Plana, Pere Medina Serrahima, highlighted the importance of inter-administrative cooperation in bringing specialized resources closer to citizens. "Families need spaces where they can express their concerns, feel heard, and find support," he stated.
The meeting space will initially be implemented in Prats de Lluçanès, Tona, Torelló, and Vic. The activity is aimed at families interested in sharing experiences and reflecting together on parenting, and children from secondary education (ESO) onwards can also participate, incorporating different generational perspectives. A commitment to attend is requested to foster trust and continuity in the process.
