The Tona City Council has established a new Perinatal Grief Space in the Font del Ferro park to provide visibility and a place of remembrance for families who have experienced perinatal losses.

The municipality of Tona has launched a project to raise awareness about Perinatal Grief, responding to the demand from several local families who needed a space to commemorate and remember their losses. This initiative has culminated in the creation of the Perinatal Grief Space, located in the Font del Ferro park.
The space, designed by visual artist Alícia Casadesús i Calvó, aims to be a place of calm, memory, and reflection. The project also includes the publication of an informational booklet and the creation of a commemorative mural at Masia La Coma, by muralist Iris Serrano, which is visible from the C-17 highway.
In observance of October 15th, the International Day of Perinatal Grief, a program of sensitization and reflection activities has been organized. On Thursday, October 8th, at 8:30 PM in the Sala la Canal, the play "LES CULPABLES" by Marta Duran Lozano, which addresses abortion, will be screened, followed by a discussion with executive producer Montse Pujol Solà. Admission is 4 euros and the event is organized by Donaveu.
On Wednesday, October 14th, at 6:30 PM in the Espai Muriel Casals, a storytelling session titled "EL MEU GERMÀ EL TINC AL COR" will be held, led by Sara Bishop. Finally, on Sunday, October 18th, at 12 PM in the Font del Ferro park, the official inauguration of the Perinatal Grief Space will take place, featuring music and poetry. On Wednesday, October 28th, at 7 PM in the Espai Muriel Casals, the book "COM SI DORMÍS, LA HISTÒRIA D’UN NADÓ QUE NEIX SENSE VIDA" will be presented by perinatal psychologist Cristina Carrillo López.
