Anthropologist Daniel Acevedo Villegas, holding a master's degree in Urban Anthropology, Migrations, and Social Intervention, and sociologist Anna Sánchez Aragón, a cum laude doctor, are the recipients of the 14th Mn. Jesús Castells i Serra research grant for Pallars Jussà. Their project, titled Dissidence and Social Tensions in Pallars Jussà during the Early Francoist Period (1939-1955), will focus on analyzing behaviors considered disaffected towards the Francoist regime at the local level.
The primary objective of the research is to identify how these behaviors, deemed contrary to the regime, were institutionally recorded, classified, and managed. It also aims to understand what forms of political disagreement or friction left traces in the administrative documentation of the time.
To carry out the project, the researchers will conduct their work at the Arxiu Comarcal del Pallars Jussà, consulting the documentary funds housed there to gain a detailed insight into the period under study.
