The modernization of the Conca de Tremp irrigation system is progressing on schedule in Tremp and Talarn, with the first infrastructure phase expected to conclude by late 2026.

Current efforts are focused on burying 2.5 kilometers of the main transport pipeline near the Noguera Pallaresa river. This stage is essential for the future deployment of secondary networks that will deliver water directly to local farms.

"An old dream of our ancestors, who fought so hard to make this project a reality, is beginning to come true."

Josep Durany · President of the Conca de Tremp Irrigation Community
The project also includes a land consolidation process to improve agricultural management. Additionally, a last-minute expansion of 40 hectares in the Ínsules area has been approved, benefiting about ten local landowners.
Sílvia Romero, the Government delegate for Alt Pirineu i Aran and Mayor of Tremp, emphasized that this modernization is crucial for crop diversification and sustainable water use in the current climate context.
