Minister Olga Pané introduced a pioneering medical drone transport service in Tremp this Friday, connecting the Pallars Regional Hospital with Lleida's Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.

The service, scheduled to begin regular operations this summer, will reduce delivery times from 75 to 40 minutes. This logistics innovation aims to improve healthcare equity for rural and mountain areas by speeding up the delivery of blood bags and lab samples.
The project, supported by the Government of Catalonia and Pirineos Drone, also boasts a 98% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional road transport, marking a precedent for medical logistics in Spain.
