Eva Fiter has been unanimously proclaimed the new head of ERC's list in Tremp for the 2027 municipal elections, at a local assembly that received the support of party members and representatives.

Eva Fiter Cirera, the current president of the local section of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) in Tremp, will lead the party's candidacy in the municipality for the upcoming municipal elections. Her selection was unanimous during the local assembly held this Sunday.
During her speech, Fiter emphasized the importance of politics as a tool for public service, stating that "Tremp deserves to move forward, gain opportunities, and look to the future with ambition and hope".
The appointment, which comes a year before the elections, was attended by several party representatives who traveled to the municipality to support the new candidate. Fiter takes over from Maria Pilar Cases, the current councilor and spokesperson for ERC in the Tremp City Council, who is stepping aside after serving as mayor of the town between 2019 and 2023.
The new candidate acknowledged Cases' work, highlighting that "Remembering the path taken is essential. Knowing what has been done well and what can be improved helps us grow and build an even stronger, more honest, and useful project for the citizens".
According to ERC sources, Fiter's candidacy will include independent profiles and individuals committed to improving the municipality and overcoming the current stagnation. The program will be based on a participatory approach, with concrete actions on housing, support for local entities, and close, humble management to advance Tremp.
Fiter emphasized that her list will be a "collective project," built by listening to the citizens and working with proximity and commitment.
Eva Fiter Cirera, born in Tremp in 1981, holds a degree in Political Science and Administration and has training in Public Management and Administration and an Executive MBA. Her professional career includes work in territorial development entities such as PallarsActiu, she was director of the Institut per al Desenvolupament i la Promoció de l’Alt Pirineu i Aran (IDAPA), and currently works as a technician at the Consell Comarcal del Pallars Jussà.
Maria Pilar Cases, who served as mayor of Tremp between 2019 and 2023, was ERC's candidate since 2015. She became the city's first female mayor thanks to a municipal pact. In the 2023 municipal elections, her candidacy lost two of the four council seats obtained.
