A 63-year-old paraglider has died this Wednesday following a serious accident in the Palau de Noguera area, within the municipality of Tremp, Pallars Jussà.

The Generalitat Firefighters received the alert at 1:20 PM and three units from the Tremp and Sort stations were dispatched to the scene. After locating the man, who was seriously injured, they began providing medical attention until two SEM ambulances arrived. Tragically, the paraglider passed away.
Sources close to the incident indicated that the accident may have been caused by a fall onto electrical wiring before landing. The Mossos d'Esquadra deployed five patrols to investigate the circumstances.

"Notification of the death to the victim's family would be made through the British consulate."
