La Pobla de Segur celebrated this Sunday the 48th edition of the Raiers Festival, an event that commemorates the historic trade of river timber transport in the Pallars Jussà region.

Despite the high temperatures, a large number of attendees gathered around the Claverol bridge to witness the arrival of the participants. A total of thirty crew members navigated nearly six kilometers, departing from the Llania dam aboard four traditional log rafts.
This activity marks the end of three days of festivities in the municipality, which included various cultural events, markets, and concerts. The log rafting descent is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
