The town of Tremp celebrated its traditional Carnival stew feast this Tuesday, serving thousands of residents at plaza Catalunya in one of the region's most deep-rooted gastronomic events.

The local group Colla d'Escudelleraires prepared more than 840 liters of the traditional escudella, resulting in 2,800 portions distributed among the crowd. This event confirms the strength of local traditions in the Pallars Jussà area.
Despite strong winds forcing the postponement of Saturday's parade to Sunday, the celebration was a success. The parade featured the Fills de la Flama drum group and the satirical speech by the Carnival King, filling the streets with music and color.
The 2026 Carnival program officially ends this Ash Wednesday with the traditional Sardinada (sardine feast), marking the end of a week dedicated to local culture and community spirit.
