The Unió de Pagesos union has won the agricultural elections held in Catalonia on February 27, although it will lose one representative in the Table of Agriculture to JARC.

According to the provisional 100% scrutiny, Unió de Pagesos (UP) remains the leading force with 47% of the votes. JARC followed with 30%, while ASAJA, Assemblea Pagesa, and UPA failed to reach the 15% threshold required for official representation.
The results showed significant regional variations. In Pallars Jussà, JARC emerged as the winner with 47.16% of the ballots. Meanwhile, in Pallars Sobirà, ASAJA took the lead with 43.22%, surpassing the overall winner UP in both mountainous regions.

"The elections recorded the highest participation in the last 10 years and the second highest since 2007."

Cristina Massot · Secretary of the Department of Agriculture
The new composition of the Table of Agriculture will consist of six members for UP and four for JARC. Out of a census of 21,374 voters, 11,709 participated in the process, which saw an unusually high rate of null votes at nearly 20%.
