The winners of Pallars Digital's monthly draw, held this Thursday, have been selected to receive two copies of the essay La Màquina i la Boira. This work, co-written with artificial intelligence, offers a deep reflection on the identity of Pallars and the influence of technology on collective memory.
The book stems from the author's concern about how artificial intelligence tends to standardize language and emotions, ignoring the cultural and linguistic richness of territories like Pallars. The essay champions the importance of local speech against the globalizing trend of machines.
“"Although the machine can structure information, memory and feeling are exclusively human."
The work encourages the use of artificial intelligence with a criterion that allows for the preservation of cultural uniqueness and opens a necessary debate about the limits of algorithms in Catalan literature. This draw is part of the benefits the media offers to its paying subscribers, a community that continues to grow and now numbers 280 members.
Pallars Digital subscribers, with a fee of 3 euros per month or 36 euros annually, enjoy benefits such as early access to exclusive content, participation in monthly draws, and receiving a weekly newsletter with the most relevant news from Pallars. The next draw will take place at the end of May.
