Registration opened this Monday for the 16th edition of the Caminada de Carenes, a walk connecting the towns of Pont de Suert and Tremp. This route revives a historic traditional path thanks to the joint efforts of the local corporations of both municipalities. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 11.
The Caminada de Carenes has established itself as an essential event for endurance walking enthusiasts and for all those who wish to discover the territory.
The event is organized by the Pont de Suert and Tremp Town Councils, together with the Centre Excursionista Alta Ribagorça. This walk is included in the prestigious Catalan Circuit of Resistance Walks of the Federation of Catalan Hiking Entities (FEEC). Registration can be formalized through the inscripcions.cat web portal.
As usual, the walk offers three different modalities to suit all levels. The long route, spanning 52 kilometers, connects the two main towns, Pont de Suert and Tremp. The medium modality, 28 kilometers long, connects Adons with the capital of Pallars Jussà. Finally, the short circuit, 9 kilometers, links the village of Gurp with Tremp.
