The town of Tremp will double the available places at its municipal nursery school starting next academic year, thanks to the inauguration of a new facility that will offer a total of 41 places.

This expansion represents a significant increase compared to the current 21 places, which were exclusively for the I2 line (children aged 2 to 3). The new center, located on Tarragona street, will include 8 places for infants under one year old (I0) and 13 for children aged between 1 and 2 years old (I1), thus diversifying the educational offer for early childhood.
The mayor of Tremp, Sílvia Romero, confirmed the preparation of the new facilities after this week's municipal plenary session. The transfer of current students to the new facility is scheduled for next April 20, at which point the old nursery school will close its doors.

"Once the transfer is made, we will close the old one."

The new center will not only have three classrooms, one for each age group, but will also adapt to the standards established by the Department of Education. It will feature a playground, its own kitchen, an additional multi-purpose room, a hygienic room for staff, and a separate space for administration and teaching coordination.
In the same plenary session, the Tremp City Council approved the new internal regulations for the municipal nursery school, as, according to Romero, the previous regulations "were obsolete" and did not adapt to the new needs and facilities.
