Pyrenees record minor wind incidents while Andorra faces traffic gridlock

The Generalitat Firefighters managed several minor incidents caused by strong winds this Thursday, February 12th, in the regions of Pallars Sobirà and Pallars Jussà.

While Alt Urgell and Cerdanya remained stable, Tremp reported fallen trees and Soriguera faced rockfalls on the N-260 highway. The Civil Protection alert remains in place until 8:00 PM, keeping schools and sports facilities closed.
In Andorra, a fallen tree on Salou Avenue caused 5-kilometer traffic jams during rush hour. Although several vehicles were damaged, no injuries were reported as emergency services worked to clear the road.
