The Pallars Sobirà region officially launched its rafting season this Sunday on the Noguera Pallaresa river, with the first groups of tourists braving snow and strong winds in Llavorsí.

Around ten people divided into two boats inaugurated the season with the company Roc Roi. With water temperatures between 7 and 8 degrees Celsius, participants were provided with extra thermal jackets to complement their standard wetsuits and life vests.
The start of the campaign follows a water flow agreement with Endesa, which will guarantee suitable river conditions until October 15th. While some bookings were cancelled due to the wind, the sector is preparing for a gradual increase in activity as ski resorts close.

"They are starting slowly now because the bulk of the staff is still working at the ski resorts."

Local guides like Albert Gironés predict a great season with plenty of water. The industry expects a full workforce transition from winter sports to river activities over the coming weeks.
