The actions, aimed at ensuring the structural stability and safety of the high-mountain road, involve reinforcing the platform and stabilizing slopes in four sections. Construction solutions include reinforced concrete pile screens, reconstruction of a rubble masonry wall with anchors and steel nets, and monitoring a section with new pavement.
Due to the complexity of the procedures and the environment, the road will be closed from Monday to Saturday, between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, starting next October 5th. Outside these hours and on Sundays, traffic will be allowed with alternating passage. The aim is to make as much progress as possible before the ski season begins.
In parallel, an inspection, instrumentation, and monitoring program has been deployed using inclinometers, piezometers, and topographic benchmarks to understand slope behavior. These diagnostic works are supported by specialized organizations such as the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
