The municipality of Sort has been officially designated as the headquarters of the new Pyrenean Emergency Region, as confirmed by a document signed by the Minister of the Interior.

The uncertainty regarding the location of the Firefighters' and emergency services command center in the Pyrenees region has come to an end. For the first time, the Generalitat de Catalunya has officially recognized that Sort will be the headquarters of this new key infrastructure for emergency management in the Pyrenean region.
