The TSJC's resolution dismisses the appeals filed by the defense and maintains the sentences of five years in prison for the man and three and a half years for the woman. Both have been incarcerated since their arrest.
The investigation, carried out by the Mossos d'Esquadra, highlighted the use of the Bizum application for collecting payments for the substances. Up to 463 bank transactions were documented, totaling 20,782 euros, with recurring incomes ranging from 30 to 70 euros, figures that matched the price of cocaine doses in the illicit market.
In addition to the prison sentences, the court has imposed significant economic fines: 12,000 euros for the man and 4,194 euros for the woman. The criminal activity spanned from August 2022 to July 2023.
During the search of the couple's home in Rialp, the police seized various quantities of cocaine and marijuana, as well as 21,520 euros in cash. Drug distribution was carried out both at their home and from their private vehicles, and in a nightclub in Sort that was managed by one of the convicted individuals. The parties still have the option to file a final appeal before the Supreme Court.
