A lateral collision involving two passenger cars on the N-260 road near Gerri de la Sal (Baix Pallars) left one person slightly injured and caused the total closure of the road for about an hour on Sunday night.

The accident alert was received at 8:21 PM on Sunday, according to the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT). The collision occurred at the exit of the town of Gerri de la Sal heading towards Sort, specifically at kilometer point 292.40 on the N-260.
Despite the nature of the impact, which was a lateral collision between two cars, only one person sustained minor injuries, while the second person involved was unharmed. Emergency services, including the SEM, quickly deployed to the scene to assist the victims.
The most significant consequence was the traffic disruption. For safety reasons and to facilitate vehicle removal, the N-260 had to be completely closed in both directions, causing long vehicle queues during the hour-long interruption.
Finally, officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra managed to reopen the road. Initially, an alternating pass system was established using one lane, allowing traffic to progressively normalize and the resulting delays to dissipate.
