The Local Security Board of Mollerussa reported this March 2026 a significant improvement in public safety, marked by falling crime rates and a sharp rise in police interventions.

Data from 2025 shows that criminal offenses in the capital of Pla d'Urgell decreased by 4%, staying below the provincial average. Simultaneously, police effectiveness led to a 36% increase in arrests compared to the previous period.
The implementation of over 110 security cameras has been vital for the Mossos d'Esquadra and Local Police. Officials noted that constant monitoring has forced several repeat offenders to leave the town and move toward Lleida.
Looking ahead, the Local Police force will expand from 21 to 24 officers. Additionally, the new Pla d'Urgell-Garrigues police headquarters is expected to be inaugurated in the first half of 2027.
