The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, held a campaign event this Monday at the Centre Cultural de Mollerussa, where he reaffirmed his commitment to the club's member-owned model.

The gathering brought together a large number of supporters in the capital of Pla d'Urgell, including Mayor Marc Solsona. During his speech, Laporta emphasized that the Lleida region remains a stronghold for the club, thanking local members for providing the institutional stability needed to manage the club's recovery.

"We are very grateful to the Barcelona fans in Lleida because they have been an important part of the institutional stability that has allowed us to recover Barça."

Regarding the upcoming elections, the candidate stated that keeping the club in the hands of its members is a non-negotiable red line. He also denounced what he described as external attempts from Madrid to smear the campaign through false legal complaints filed at the Audiencia Nacional.
