Mollerussa faced a tough 2-0 defeat this Sunday during their visit to Montañesa in Nou Barris, leaving the team in a precarious position near the bottom of the table.

Despite a solid defensive performance for most of the match, the team from Pla d'Urgell struggled to create clear scoring opportunities. The deadlock was broken late in the game by a brilliant goal from Jordi Avilés, followed by a second strike from Cunha in the 89th minute.

"I think it was a head-to-head match, my players were good, but they found the 1-0 with a moment of genius."

With 24 points, Mollerussa is now only two points ahead of Cerdanyola, who currently occupies the first relegation spot. The team will need to find more offensive rhythm in the coming weeks to secure their position in the league.
