The Mollerussa Town Council is set to inaugurate a new mural by artist Txus Montejano this Friday at 10:00 AM as part of the International Women's Day celebrations.

Located on Domènec Cardenal street, in front of the Jaume Vila District Library, the mural carries the slogan Ens volem vives i lliures (We want ourselves alive and free). This artistic intervention joins a series of social murals that define the urban landscape of the capital of Pla d'Urgell.
The main institutional event will take place on Sunday at the L'Amistat Theatre. It will feature a speech by renowned local journalist Anna Gómez and a tribute to eight women from the Albada Association born in 1945, honoring their life stories.
The commemorative program also includes a musical performance by Duet Dämmerung and the exhibition Art en mans de dona (Art in women's hands), which will be open at the Paper Clothing Museum until March 13th.
