Mollerussa secured a crucial and hard-fought 2-1 victory at the Municipal de Mollerussa against Manresa on Sunday, earning three golden points that lift them out of the relegation zone.

The team led by coach Manel Cazorla demonstrated great efficiency in both boxes to overcome Manresa, who, despite the defeat, remain in play-off positions. This 2-1 triumph allows Mollerussa, who started the day bottom of the table, to begin the second half of the season outside the dangerous spots. The arrival of the coach has significantly improved the club's performance, having secured 7 of the last 12 points available.
Local efficiency prevailed over visitor dominance. After an early warning from Manresa with a long-range shot by Ayoub saved by Pepo, Mollerussa struck quickly. In the 21st minute, Óscar Dueso opened the scoring with a back-heel flick following a cross from Scuri (1-0). Four minutes later, Franki scored the second (2-0) after high pressure and an assist from Guillén Porta. Manresa quickly reduced the deficit with a goal from Aleix Díaz (2-1) after a corner kick.

"We are not here to boast, we are here to suffer and compete. This Mollerussa must defend every action as if it were the last."

The second half was an exercise in resistance for Mollerussa, with Manresa dominating offensively, especially from set pieces through Matheus. Goalkeeper Pepo was decisive, delivering a standout performance with a triple save in the 57th minute and stopping key shots from Iglesias. Although Manresa hit the post and Momoh had a chance for the equalizer, the local defense held the tension until the final whistle. The match also saw the season debut of Jordi Ars after recovering from his injury.
