The incident alert was received at 6:18 AM on January 28, mobilizing up to 16 units of the Generalitat Firefighters, including the canine unit, to Major Street in Vilanova de Bellpuig.
Upon arrival, emergency services confirmed that at least two people were trapped under the rubble of the two-story building. After securing the area, the Firefighters managed to free one of the victims.
The provisional toll is four affected individuals. Two suffered minor injuries, while the other two, who were trapped, are considered seriously injured, according to initial reports.
Rescue efforts remain focused on freeing the second person still under the rubble. Emergency teams are keeping the operation active to ensure the safety of the area and provide assistance to the victims.
