The Falset Wine Fair is celebrating its 31st edition this weekend, from May 1st to 3rd, with the participation of seventy wineries from DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat, and the addition of a professional conference on May 4th.

The event, which has established itself as a benchmark in the wine sector, aims to boost wine sales. To this end, special fair prices have been set, and a warehouse near the venue has been set up to facilitate the collection of bottles and cases purchased by visitors.
The fair's stands will open their doors on Friday morning, starting at 12:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM. Although the official opening is on Friday, parallel activities, such as the White Wine Tasting at Falset Castle, will already take place on Thursday, April 30th.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM on the fair's main stage, with the presence of various authorities, including the Minister of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
One of the main novelties of this edition is the professional conference, scheduled for Monday, May 4th at Falset Castle. Organized jointly with Priorat Enoturisme, this conference will bring together some 150 professionals, including distributors, restaurateurs, and sommeliers, with the aim of fostering commercial contacts and new business opportunities.
The fair also features an online platform (www.firadelvi.org) that allows for advance ticket purchases to avoid queues and booking winery visits during May. Additionally, continuous tastings have been scheduled at the Winelover Space and various recreational and cultural activities, including concerts in collaboration with the Emerging and Family Music Fair (FiIM) of Vila-seca and the Garbinada Pop festival.
The full program of the Falset Wine Fair, which includes activities in other towns in the region such as Gratallops, Bellmunt del Priorat, Porrera, Torroja del Priorat, and el Molar, can be consulted on the official website.
