Man dies after being struck by a minibus following a road accident in Marçà

A man died this Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident on the T-300 road in Marçà after being struck by a minibus that veered off the highway.

The incident occurred at kilometer point 2 within the municipality of Marçà, in the Priorat region. According to the Catalan Transit Service, emergency calls were received at 3:01 PM after the vehicle fell down an embankment for reasons still under investigation.
The victim was working in a nearby field when the vehicle plunged from the road. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the minibus, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Móra d'Ebre Hospital for treatment.
Emergency services, including four Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, four Bombers de la Generalitat crews, and two SEM units, attended the scene. This fatality brings the total number of road deaths in Catalonia to 15 so far in 2026.
