The Catalan Government has finalized the boundaries for the future Prades Mountains, Poblet, and Serra de la Llena Natural Park, which will encompass 22 municipalities in Southern Catalonia.

The final project covers 38,900 hectares, a reduction from the original 43,700 hectares proposal. Consequently, the towns of Porrera and Juncosa have been left out of the protected area's final map.
Authorities plan to publish the project in the official gazette (DOGC) this March, starting a public consultation period. The final approval is slated for summer 2026, featuring a new governance model with a dedicated mayors' council.
