This economic injection, managed through ACCIÓ (the agency for business competitiveness), aims to boost high-impact industrial projects, technological innovation, and business growth. The total investment mobilized by these projects is expected to reach 143 million euros.
The priority of these funds is to guarantee economic diversification and the creation of new jobs, with the forecast of generating 130 jobs in the nuclear influence area.
The Department of Business and Labour detailed that the funds will be distributed among 48 municipalities. By region (comarca), Baix Camp receives the most aid (27%), followed by Baix Ebre (25%) and Ribera d'Ebre (19%). Companies in Terra Alta (8%), Segrià (4%), and Garrigues (2%) also benefited.
This allocation is part of a long-term strategy. In the previous period, 2023-2024, the Nuclear Transition Funds financed actions worth over 150 million euros, benefiting 1,500 companies and creating 656 jobs. Furthermore, 450 actions promoted by local councils will be executed to support the energy transition.
