Traditional boat trips on the Ebro River in Móra d’Ebre offer a new perspective of the municipality, reviving its river heritage and local memory. This activity is part of the 123rd Festa del Riu Ebre, recognized as a Traditional Festival of National Interest.
The Móra d’Ebre Nautical Club guides participants on a route that allows them to view the riverfront, historic center, and bridge from the water. The leisurely navigation and traditional methods immerse attendees in the municipality's historical relationship with the river.
The scheduled excursions are well-received by families, foreign visitors, and those new to river navigation, combining leisure with the promotion of heritage and river culture for new generations.

On Saturday, August 29th, the main day of the festival will take place, featuring institutional representation from the President of the Parliament of Catalonia, Josep Rull, and the Director General of Popular Culture, Carol Duran. José Antonio Serres Mota will be appointed Daliner d’Honor, followed by a procession of authorities, Pubilles and Hereus, and the Gegants Sirgadors.
During the day, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled recognizing the Festa del Riu Ebre as a Traditional Festival of National Interest, highlighting its uniqueness and historical trajectory.
In the afternoon, the river will host exhibitions by the Sirgadors de l’Ebre, traditional raft races, a swimming crossing, plastic duck races, and water ski demonstrations. At 7:30 PM, in Plaça de Baix, the family show La Ballaruca will be performed.
Sunday, August 30th, begins with Kayak & Memory, a route combining sport, landscape, and historical memory via kayak between Móra d’Ebre and Miravet. At 8:00 PM, the Pont promenade will host a free concert by Alfred Garcia.
The closing ceremony of the 123rd Festa del Riu Ebre will take place at 9:30 PM, marking the end of a particularly significant edition following the festival's national recognition.
The Móra d’Ebre City Council aims to promote the festival as a platform for transmitting popular culture and advocating for river heritage, with collaboration from the Department of Culture of the Generalitat and the Tarragona Provincial Council's Tourism Board.
