The Ascó I, Ascó II, and Vandellós II nuclear power plants recorded a combined net production of 22.8 billion kilowatt-hours in 2025, accounting for 58.8% of the total energy produced in Catalonia.

According to provisional data from Red Eléctrica, this contribution represents 8.6% of the Spanish mainland's net production. This volume of energy is sufficient to supply approximately 19.7 million households across the country.
The Ascó I plant achieved a load factor of 92.42%, while Ascó II and Vandellós II also maintained high reliability levels. This carbon-free generation prevented the emission of 8.4 million tons of CO2 equivalent during the year, supporting global climate goals.
The operator, ANAV, invests around 100 million euros annually in modernizing equipment and renewing its workforce to ensure safe, long-term operations and a stable energy supply for the future.
