The municipality of Ascó has hosted a crucial informative session on the new call for business aid from the Nuclear Transition Funds, initially endowed with 15 million euros, aiming to boost the local economic fabric.

The Centre Cultural Magatzem de Rita in Ascó was the venue for this session, which detailed the opportunities offered by the Nuclear Transition Funds. This call, which opened on April 16 after its publication in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya, will allow applications to be submitted until May 22 at 2 PM.

"The great opportunity that these resources represent to boost the business fabric of the municipality and its surroundings. These are recurring funds that we must know how to take advantage of to revitalize our economy."

Miquel Àngel Ribes · Mayor of Ascó
The conference was inaugurated by the mayor of Ascó, Miquel Àngel Ribes, who emphasized the importance of these funds for local economic development. Subsequently, Xavier Cortiella, delegate of ACCIÓ in the Terres de l'Ebre, outlined the six available aid lines.
The subsidies include business investment projects for the creation or expansion of establishments and the improvement of production processes. There is also aid for the creation of a minimum of three new jobs, for strategic changes through business plans, for cooperative initiatives, for high value-added entrepreneurship, and for innovation projects that promote technological, digital, and green transformation.
The session concluded with the presentation of success stories from companies in the region that have already benefited from these aids, such as Nemon Trade Energy, Optim Studio, and 2G CPR Chemical Plastic Recycling, demonstrating the potential of these resources for business growth.
