The work 'La fàbrica de Flix: indústria, contaminació i memòria ambiental' by Marçal Blanchar Sabaté has been awarded the 6th Xavi Catà Pros scholarship, worth 500 euros, in a ceremony held in El Morell.

The competition, which rewards the best research projects by students from INS El Morell, this year recognized the work of Marçal Blanchar Sabaté focusing on the industrial and environmental history of the Flix factory.
The jury also awarded the second prize (400 euros) to Martí Ribera Callau for his work titled 'El so de la nostra festa' (The sound of our festival). Third place (300 euros) went to Aloma Lorente Gázquez with the project 'La infravaloració a les unitats d'anàlisi de la conducta criminal. Pot la conducta explicar el delicte?' Completing the awards, the fourth prize (200 euros) recognized Nora Ramírez Franquet for 'És necessari gastar més diners per a una millor desinfecció de mans?' (Is it necessary to spend more money for better hand disinfection?), while the fifth award (100 euros) went to Lluc Pascual Arbonès for 'Equipar per caure, l'equipament de vies d'escalada i la física de les caigudes' (Equipping to fall, climbing equipment and the physics of falls).
All participating students received recognition as finalists, including an entry to PortAventura. The work tutors were also presented with gifts in appreciation of their guidance.
The Xavi Catà Pros scholarship, launched in 2015 with the support of Plataforma Cel Net (Clean Sky Platform), pays tribute to Xavi Catà Pros, an environmental activist and a significant figure in the associative and cultural life of El Morell.
