The winning architectural proposal for the new Primary Care Center was presented this Thursday to the Flix City Council, scheduled to be built on a plot ceded by the local government.

The proposal, developed by Haz Arquitectura, SLP, was presented in working sessions with the Flix City Council and healthcare teams, including the Catalan Health Institute and the Medical Emergency System (SEM). The goal is to gather functional input before starting the drafting of the basic and executive project, a step prior to the execution of the works.
The new CAP will be located on a 1,663.78 m² plot between Mercat and Sant Jordi streets, opposite the municipal market. The facility will have a usable area of 2,104 m² distributed over three floors, designed to ensure comprehensive, accessible, and local healthcare.

"It is a project long awaited by the municipality and the territory, and with the presentation of the proposal, it begins to take clear and successful shape."

Ferran Roche-Campo · Director of Territorial Health Services
The center will include primary care services (general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, nursing), emergency care, and new professional roles. Additionally, it will feature a rehabilitation area with its own space and a base for the SEM, which will strengthen emergency response capacity in the area.

"It is a proposal that more than meets our demands and will dignify the area around the Market and behind the church."

Francesc Barbero · Mayor of Flix
