The municipality of Campdevànol will become the meeting point for Catalan 'pubillatge' (traditional Catalan youth roles) on the weekend of October 24th and 25th, with a program full of cultural activities, exhibitions, and traditions.

The town will host the National Pubillatge Contest 2026, a celebration that will combine activities open to the public with traditional events culminating in the proclamation of the 'pubilla' (Catalan queen) and 'hereu' (Catalan king) of Catalonia and its four provinces.
Saturday, October 24th, will begin in the morning with various activities, including a 'Radio on the street' program in Plaça Anselm Clavé and a popular 'garrotins' song performance. Children can participate in the digital scavenger hunt 'L’aigua, el ferro i l’or de Campdevànol'. Several exhibitions will also open: works by painter Coll i Bardulet at the Pinacoteca, the National Nativity Scene Exhibition at the Centre Cívic La Confiança, and 'Cor d’Acer. Museu dels oficis del metall a l’aire lliure' (Steel Heart. Open-air Museum of Metal Trades), featuring interactive murals throughout the town.
In the afternoon, the Contest's opening speech and the inauguration of the majolica will take place on Passeig de Can Branques, followed by a display of popular culture by local entities in Plaça de la Dansa.
On Sunday, October 25th, the main events will include a parade and, at 12 PM in Plaça de l’Església, the proclamation of the 2026 'pubilla' and 'hereu' of Catalonia and its four provinces.
This event aims to highlight the traditions, popular culture, and heritage of Campdevànol, and the City Council invites citizens to participate.
