With the aim of improving services for all citizens, the Campdevànol Library has incorporated specialized technological equipment to facilitate reading and assistance for individuals with diverse auditory or visual abilities.
Among the new devices is the Smartloop Portable Magnetic Loop Univox, an audio-frequency induction loop system. This device adapts the service counter, making it accessible for individuals with hearing impairments who use hearing aids or cochlear implants with a telecoil.
Additionally, the Eschenbach Visolux Digital XL FHD 12″ electronic magnifier has been acquired. This high-end portable device is specifically designed for people with low vision, such as those affected by age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or glaucoma.
In addition to the technological equipment, the library has created a new sign with its opening hours and plans to install a book return box to facilitate loan returns for users.
