The first ordinary Council meeting of the new political term at the Campdevànol Town Hall, held on September 30, focused on economic management and fiscal obligations. The Councillor for Finance, Francesc Puig, highlighted the entity's sound financial health, noting "financing capacity, positive current savings, positive surplus, moderate debt, and adequate payment capacity".
The presented data show an improvement compared to 2022. The treasury surplus has increased from €6,604.37 to €828,823.39 by the end of 2025. The adjusted result, comparing income and expenses, has gone from -€121,725.43 to €632,441.00. The adjusted net savings have also increased considerably, from €108,607.75 to €567,934.68.
The mayor, Oriol Lázaro, emphasized the "great contingency work" carried out by the councillors and municipal technicians to achieve this "favorable financial situation".
During the session, credit modifications were approved to finance fairs and commercial proposals for the last quarter, as well as the initial modification of the 2025 budget. These modifications will financially support items such as Campdevànol Comerç, the National Pubillatge Contest, and the rehabilitation project for Can Branques.
The vote on these modifications received 7 votes in favor, two against, and two abstentions. Gent de Poble abstained, despite agreeing with some proposals, arguing they would prefer to vote on them separately. ERC voted against, although they found some of the modifications appropriate.
