“"The Hospital de Campdevànol is a key facility for the Ripollès region and essential for guaranteeing local public healthcare, especially in a rural and mountainous area like ours. Any decision that could jeopardize its future or weaken it as a reference hospital is unacceptable."

Junts per Catalunya MPs, Jordi Munell and Jordi Fàbrega, have registered initiatives in the Catalan Parliament to defend the activity of the Hospital de Campdevànol against the healthcare restructuring planned by the Department of Health.
Junts per Ripoll has expressed concern regarding the potential loss of activity and healthcare relevance for the Hospital de Campdevànol. This risk is attributed to the new configuration of the Integrated Health Areas (AIS) promoted by the Department of Health of the Generalitat.
This restructuring implies that the primary care centers (CAPs) in Sant Joan de les Abadesses and Camprodon would cease to primarily reference the hospital in Campdevànol. Instead, they would rely first on the Hospital Comarcal de la Garrotxa and, secondly, on the Hospital Trueta de Girona, a change that could impact the territorial balance of the Ripollès region.
To seek clarification, MPs Jordi Munell and Jordi Fàbrega have submitted a series of written questions to the Government regarding the criteria used, whether impact studies have been conducted, and how the continuity of care and economic sustainability of the center will be ensured. They have also requested the appearance of the hospital's manager and the president of the Board of Trustees before the Health Committee of the Parliament.
