The Mancomunitat de la Vall de Camprodon has participated in the creation of the Associació de Mancomunitats de Catalunya, a new entity aiming to strengthen collaboration and secure more stable funding for its activities.

This initiative, which initially includes nine commonwealths from the four Catalan provinces, primarily aims to secure ordinary funding to enable them to carry out their activities with greater resources. The new association intends to foster synergies and establish connections among the various commonwealths across the territory.

"We are creating this association to build synergies, get to know each other among the commonwealths, establish points of connection, and unite under a single umbrella to demand improved funding."

The driving group behind the association has reported that seven additional commonwealths have already expressed interest in joining the nine founding members. The aspiration is to integrate as many as possible of the 56 registered commonwealths in Catalonia. The board of directors comprises representatives from commonwealths across the four provinces and from various political parties.
The establishment of the Associació de Mancomunitats de Catalunya marks an initial step towards gaining greater recognition from the Government, although its members are aware that immediate results are not expected. The current focus is on uniting forces, promoting collaboration, and presenting a common front to achieve their demands.
