The N-260 highway at Collada de Toses has been ranked as the most dangerous road section in Catalonia and the fourth in Spain, according to the latest AEA safety report.

The study by Automovilistas Europeos Asociados (AEA) analyzed data from 2020 to 2024. It highlights kilometer 165 in the municipality of Alp as a major black spot, with a danger index ten times higher than the national average.
Despite a low traffic volume of only 275 vehicles per day, this specific stretch recorded four accidents involving victims. Another nearby point, kilometer 161, ranks as the eighth most dangerous in the entire country.
The province of Girona accounts for nearly 29% of the dangerous road sections identified in Catalonia, with the Pyrenees region concentrating the most critical points due to its challenging geography and road conditions.
