The former breeding ground of Joventut Nacionalista de Catalunya in Planoles hosted a tribute to former president Jordi Pujol, bringing together Junts per Catalunya leaders and historical pro-sovereignty figures.

The municipality of Planoles, known as a second-home destination, hosted a unique political event that brought together various generations of Catalan pro-sovereignty leaders. The gathering, organized by the current leadership of the Joventut Nacionalista de Catalunya (JNC) and former mayor of La Seu d’Urgell, Albert Batalla, aimed to pay tribute to former president Jordi Pujol.
The event, dubbed an “act of justice,” convened former leaders of Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya (CDC), current members of Junts per Catalunya, a former councilor from ERC, and young militants who admire Pujol's figure. The JNC historically held its summer school in Planoles, a venue that often concluded with a conference by President Pujol.

During the event, a speech written by President Pujol himself was read, emphasizing the idea of “reprise” (renewal) and urging attendees not to succumb to victimhood. Pujol defined Catalonia as a “will to be” and an “unfinished work,” encouraging those present to “serve Catalonia” with “intelligence, courage, responsibility, love for the country, and hope”.
The event, held in front of the town's Casinol, was attended by Jordi Pujol, accompanied by his son Oriol Pujol, the mayor of Planoles, David Verge, and the general secretary of the JNC, Aleix Agustí. Speakers also included physician Jaume Padrós, former president of the College of Physicians of Catalonia, and former councilors such as Quim Forn and Meritxell Borràs.
The gathering highlighted the diverse styles and sensibilities within the convergent movement, with the presence of numerous Junts per Catalunya leaders, including Jordi Turull, Josep Turull, Mònica Sales, Albert Batet, Jordi Martí Galbís, Glòria Freixa, Eduard Pujol, Joan Ramon Casals, Anna Erra, Alex Sarri, Gemma Geis, Josep Tarín, Vincenç Mauri, Isidre Gavín, Jaume Alonso-Cuevillas, Marta Pascal, Jordi Xuclà, Ramon Camp, Maite Fandos, Bernat Joan, and Josep Maldonado.
Also noteworthy was the presence of former councilor Irene Rigau, described as the “convergent materialization in human form,” and Carles Campuzano, now promoting a new political platform with Francesc-Marc Álvaro. Other notable attendees included Miquel Calçada, tasked with creating the new 2cat television channel.
