The Avellaneda pavilion hosted the final match for UE Ripoll, who achieved their eleventh home victory against the already relegated CE Palamós B. This win was preceded by another on Saturday due to the non-appearance of CB Guíxols B, gifting the Ripoll team two points.
The team coached by Dídac Blasco dominated the game against Palamós B from start to finish, with a highly effective first half that set up the win, which was comfortably secured in the final periods.
With these last two victories, UE Ripoll concludes the league in sixth place, holding a record of 16 wins and 10 losses. The season has been characterized by notable inconsistency, including an excellent first half where they secured nine wins in the opening ten matches.
Injuries and a schedule with many away games impacted the team's performance. "It's been like a roller coaster, both in emotions and physical level. The first half was incredible. Then, unfortunately, injuries occurred, and we suffered from them," stated coach Dídac Blasco.
Player Bernat Casadesús echoed the assessment of an inconsistent season, noting that the improved level of other teams made it harder to secure more away victories. The statistics reflect this trend: 11 wins out of 13 games at Avellaneda, compared to only five wins in thirteen games played away from Ripoll.
