Informative meetings have been held in Camprodon regarding the Vallter 365 project, which primarily seeks to transform the valley's ski resort. The initiative by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat intends a model change for the resort, explaining the plan's main lines to residents through various gatherings.
According to Vallter's director, Patrícia Torres, the project's three core pillars are sustainable accessibility via a cable car and a telemix; year-round nature, leisure, and sports activities; and qualitative improvements to dining facilities under the name GastroVallter. Torres emphasized the goal is to "improve what we already have, not create new things".
The most significant change would be the installation of a cable car from the village of Setcases to the resort. Five of the current ski lifts, nearing the end of their lifespan, are slated for dismantling. Additionally, plans include building a new snowmaking reservoir, compatible with summer livestock use, and creating a new viewpoint in the Marmotes area.
Torres described the new viewpoint as "an aerial balcony, to often take advantage of sea views." Regarding the snowmaking reservoir, she explained that the current one holds 14,000 cubic meters, while other resorts exceed 100,000, and assured that the new one will be "third-generation, landscape-integrable, and usable for livestock".
The ultimate goal of Vallter 365 is to increase visitor numbers and establish the resort as a year-round tourist destination. Ferrocarrils has stressed that the project is in its early stages and seeks maximum public consensus, gathering opinions through these informative meetings.
