Individuals who are part of a household including a member aged 65 or over, and whose permanent residence is the home undergoing renovation, can benefit from these subsidies. The renovation works must directly benefit these individuals.
To be eligible, the person aged 65 or over must meet several conditions. These include lacking sufficient autonomy for basic activities, having a disability degree of 33% or higher, or demonstrating a degree of dependency. Household income must also not exceed twice the weighted Catalan Sufficiency Income Indicator (IRSC).
The applicant must be the owner, usufructuary, or tenant of the property and must not own any other property in Catalonia, unless they do not have its use and enjoyment. Furthermore, they must not be subject to any disqualification for receiving subsidies and must comply with tax and social security obligations.
Eligible works include those to achieve minimum habitability, sanitation, and comfort conditions; to bring water, gas, heating, electricity, and sanitation installations up to current regulations, including safety measures and systems to facilitate blind operation; and to adapt the interior of the home for improved accessibility.
