Strong winds recorded this Sunday in Ripollès have left a trail of destruction across several municipalities, where many residents are still experiencing power outages and telecommunications failures.

The situation is particularly critical in Molló, in the north of the region. Although the town center has regained electricity via a generator, scattered rural homes remain in the dark and isolated, as only a few mobile providers are currently operational.

"The situation is especially worrying due to the population profile, with many elderly people and telecare users."

Josep Coma · Mayor of Molló
In Vall de Ribes, the damage is also significant. The mayor of Campelles, Judit Cornellà, used a war metaphor to describe the town's condition following the storm, highlighting the extent of the material destruction.

"It looks like a war has passed through here."

This weather event has severely impacted the area's connectivity, leaving various points in Ripollès digitally isolated since March 15, while emergency services work to restore basic utilities.
