The highest speeds were detected in Portbou (167 km/h) and the Queralt Sanctuary (162 km/h). Authorities had previously issued ES-Alert mobile warnings to residents in Alt Empordà, Berguedà, Ripollès, and Cerdanya due to the high risk of damage.
The 112 emergency line received 340 calls by mid-morning, while the Generalitat Fire Brigade managed 150 incidents. Notable cases included fallen trees in Sant Joan de les Abadesses and scaffolding issues in the coastal town of Roses.
Road transport has been heavily affected, with closures on the N-260 highway near Ribes de Freser. Additionally, heavy snowfall in the high Pyrenees has forced the use of snow chains on major mountain passes such as Bonaigua.
